About Strategic Awareness

Strategic Awareness is the process of fusing Awareness to Strategy, and incorporating real world knowledge of industry, global trends and possible futures.

Strategic awareness enables people and organizations to take advantage of opportunities and to avoid problems that trap other people. It is the secret ingredient of super successful people.

Awareness

Awareness is the ability each of us has to know something directly without analytic processing. It is an intrinsic skill and a natural gift we all have. Among its many descriptions, awareness is depicted as the ability to know without the use of rational thought processes or direct cognition. Another description is the capacity to know without words, to perceive the truth without justification or cognitive interpretation, reasoning or explanation. It is not bound by this physical reality. It operates knowing that past, present and future are simultaneous.

Awareness can synthesize ideas and choices in a flash. It enhances analytic consideration and put forward insights as to timing, specific strategy and innovation. Society changing individuals like Einstein and Leonardo Da Vinci had such an intensity of awareness, and therefore the ability to tap into ideas from outside of time and space.

Awareness is the key to perceiving and receiving unlimited possibilities and to seizing new opportunities. Analysis alone will never be adequate. However, most people doubt their awareness and rely solely on empirical evidence as the basis for their decision making processes.

Awareness can be of great value:

* To help you determine whether a choice you are making is the most rewarding choice.

* To help you determine what to do when you feel stuck.

* When the data is conflicting.

* When there are insufficient data or the data seems to support several different options equally

* When there is too much information.

* When you have to make a decision on the spur of the moment.

* When your vision has grown cloudy or you feel overwhelmed.

* When it all seems too difficult

Strategic

Strategic is about knowing what it would take to create a vision into reality and making this reality work for you!  In the context of strategic awareness, being strategic is more about continuous monitoring, being adaptable, responsive to the unexpected and ever ready to receive opportunity. It is a state of being, not just a planning document.

Our view is that being strategic is less about planning ahead and more about continuous monitoring of the environment, rapid response and fast adaptation. Being strategic, then, means being clear about the organization's vision and mission, being aware of the organization's resources, and incorporating both into being consciously responsive to a dynamic environment. Being strategic is vital for success in business today.

Being strategic in business involves:

* Keeping a sharp eye on the latest trends and what is happening in the global environment and in industry.

* Understanding what is going on with related industries and with key trends.

* Observing the external environment constantly and being willing to shift gears fast.

* Having razor-sharp foresight and insight that is able to perceive and receive the impending state of the market.

* Preparing the best way to respond to the circumstances of the organization's environment, whether or not they are known in advance.

Being strategic results in the development of strategy. Strategy is the agreed course of action that your organization will take to achieve the vision and mission of that organization. Strategy takes into account what has occurred in the past, and what might occur into the future, and is developed as a set of directions that will produce an outcome that will deliver on the vision and mission. Each of these "directions" are typically called strategies.

Strategic Awareness allows people to let go of old identities and the need to control,
instead making choices to be the contribution to the advancement
of life and evolution of this planet.

With Strategic Awareness leaders will be able to take in a wide range of information and perceive things in a broader context. Leaders can take in more complexity, and see the interconnections. They are more likely to pick up on trends outside their industry that affect the positioning of their businesses and create new growth opportunities. To lead a successful organization, business strategy needs to be married with an awareness of how different factors in the wider environment and the organization fit together.

Strategic Awareness is how non-analytic data is accessed through what is best described as awareness or inner knowing, and is incorporated into the strategic decision-making process as an integral component. Awareness in more than just an off the wall concept or weird buzzword. It is the secret to business success that organizations can no longer afford to ignore. Pure awareness alone, however, does not lead to business success. True magic happens in the business when business leaders are able to link their awareness to strategy, to incorporate factual information of their industry and global trends with inner knowing and intuition.

Strategic Awareness enhances strategic foresight and focuses on the present situation based on future possibility, providing insights as to timing, specific strategy and innovation. Being strategically aware is not about making incremental changes that lead to different way of doing things based on past reference point of view, or old approaches. And it is not about self improvement. It is about transforming your state of beingness and your entire reality.

With strategic awareness, organizations can break out of mediocrity based on a competitive stance and into unlimited possibility of functioning from the generative edge.
